The reactions to the arrest and re-arraignment of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), from  the UK and IPOB dominated the headlines of Nigerian newspapers.

The Nation reports that security operatives are probing Kanu to uncover the financiers of his group. The newspaper highlights how Nigeria’s economy fared in the first half of the year.
The Punch reports that the UK government is seeking explanation from the federal government on the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu. The newspaper’s cover picture shows members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) protesting against the nomination of Lauretta Onochie, presidential aide, as INEC commissioner.
