Newspaper Headlines: Petrol scarcity worsens as marketers load at N780/litre

Reports on the protracted crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the hike in passport fees perfuse the frontpages. 

The Punch reports that Umar Damagum, acting national chairman of the PDP, and Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), have berated Edwin Clark after the elder statesman accused them of “colluding” to destroy the party. Vanguard reports that marketers have started lifting petrol from private depots at N780 per litre from N595 per litre — amid scarcity of the product.
