Newspaper Headlines: Police detain Yahaya Bello’s ADC, security aides

Reports on the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Ondo and the recent attacks in Plateau state dominated the frontpages of  Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has detained a female police officer who was the aide-de-camp to Yahaya Bello, former governor of Kogi. The newspaper says former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar said no human being can give power, except God.
Daily Trust reports that schools where mass abductions took place in some states in the north have remained shut — many months after the incidents. The newspaper says 15 persons, including a student of Plateau State University (PLASU) in Bokko, have been killed in another attack in the state.
The Guardian reports that the army has released Clement Ikolo, a traditional ruler in Delta state, who was arrested over the murder of 17 officers in Okuama community. The newspaper says the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said it is planning to prosecute unregistered digital asset operators in the Nigerian market.
THISDAY reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has overcome arguably one of the most gruelling and multi-faceted attacks on the naira in recent times. The newspaper says Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, the managing director of First Bank Nigeria, has resigned from the bank after eight years.
