Newspaper Headlines: Police on alert as NLC kicks off nationwide protests

Punch reports that the federal government has ordered a probe into the plane crash where two people were rescued in Lagos. The newspaper says President Bola Tinubu will send the second ministerial list to the national assembly today.

The newspaper says the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has stated that some of its members are putting their businesses up for sale due to economic pressure caused by the removal of petrol subsidy.

The Guardian reports that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo has claimed that sit-at-home enforcers have killed over 250 people in the south-east since August 2021.
