Newspaper Headlines: Presidency hits southern governors over open grazing ban

The response of the presidency to the resolution of southern governors to ban open grazing dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

Daily Independent says Afenifere and Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo condemned the killing of 100 persons in Benue state. The newspaper reports that the presidency faulted the resolution of southern governors to ban open grazing.

 

The Nation reports that the presidency slammed southern governors on the resolution to ban open grazing. The newspaper says 38 persons were killed in Niger, Benue and Plateau states in the past 72 hours.
