Newspaper Headlines: Private jet owners sue FG over N30bn import duty

The sentencing of Usman Baba, inspector-general of police, to three months in jail over disobedience of a court order dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

Daily Trust reports that President Muhammadu Buhari said weapons from the raging war between Russia and Ukraine are now smuggled to the Lake Chad Basin region. The newspaper reports that outrage has trailed the arrest of Aminu Adamu Mohammed, a student of Federal University Dutse (FUD), over a Twitter post he made against Aisha, the wife of the president.
