Newspaper Headlines: Reps order ministries to return N85bn COVID funds

Reports on rising cases of kidnapping in the country, and the supreme court judgment on governorship election disputes slated for today, dominate the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that stakeholders have demanded tough actions against kidnappers amid the rising cases of abductions in the country. The newspaper says the public accounts committee of the house of representatives has directed the federal ministry of industry, trade and investments to refund N75 billion allocated to it as COVID-19 intervention funds.
Daily Trust reports that one dollar traded at N1,355 at the parallel market on Thursday. The newspaper says the federal government has announced the relocation of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) headquarters from Abuja to Lagos.

The newspaper says the supreme court will today decide the fates of five governors whose elections have been under litigation for the past nine months.
