Reports on the judgments of the supreme court on governorship election disputes in eight states dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the governors of Lagos, Kano, Bauchi, Plateau, Abia, Cross River, Ebonyi and Zamfara states have asked their challengers to join them to move their respective states forward following the affirmation of their elections by the supreme court. The newspaper says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it will be difficult to dislodge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election without a genuine coalition.

The newspaper says President Bola Tinubu has suspended all programmes administered by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) amid the alleged corruption scandal.
The Guardian reports that lawyers and other Nigerians have commended the supreme court judgments nullifying the decision of the appeal court in governorship elections, saying the judgments justify the reason for ending election petitions at the apex court. The newspaper says Tinubu has charged governors elected on the platform of the APC to work for the good of Nigerians.
