Newspaper Headlines: Subscribers, telcos disagree over data billing

Reports on meetings to stop the proposed nationwide protest permeate the frontpages. 

The Punch reports that governors and ministers are expected to meet today as part of moves to stop the nationwide protest billed for August. The newspaper says owners of local refineries in Nigeria, including Dangote refinery, said they can help Nigeria stop importation of refined petroleum products if the federal government works with them.
Daily Trust reports that members of opposition parties in the house of representatives have asked the federal government to dialogue with organisers of the protest. The newspaper says telecommunication subscribers and service providers are at loggerheads over whether the mode of billing for data services have been altered.
The Guardian reports that food inflation in Nigeria has worsened the malnutrition problem in many households. The newspaper says the federal government has resumed mass trial of terrorism suspects.
The Nation reports that governors have warned against the planned protest, saying there will be no room for a repeat of the 2020 #EndSARS protest. The newspaper says the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Sulaiman Jimoh, the “head of a Mushin drug cartel”.
