Newspaper Headlines: Telcos fear disruption as Lagos-Calabar highway construction threatens cables

Reports on the issues trailing the construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, and the lingering petrol scarcity, dominate the frontpages of the dailies. 

The Punch reports that telecommunication companies have expressed concerns over possible connectivity disruptions as construction advances on the 700km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway. The newspaper reports that Nigerians on scholarship abroad have lamented the non-payment of their stipends by the federal government for the past 11 months. 
Daily Trust reports that the air components of operations Hadin Kai and Whirl Punch killed many terrorists in air strikes in Borno and Niger states. The newspaper says the federal government has pledged to restore electricity in eight LGAs in Sokoto who have gone through a decade without power. 
The Guardian reports that banks and other financial institutions are seeking to raise over N3 trillion from the capital market. Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, said the presence of Seyi, son of President Bola Tinubu, on the board of companies owned by Gilbert Chagoury, constitutes a conflict of interest.
