Newspaper Headlines: Telcos may hike call, data tariffs early next year

Reports on military air strikes accidentally killing residents of Sokoto communities permeate the frontpages. 

The Punch reports that fun seekers thronged parks in the federal capital territory (FCT), Lagos and Port Harcourt to celebrate Christmas amid fear of stampedes. The newspaper says Mathew Kukah, Catholic bishop of Sokoto diocese, said insecurity in Nigeria cannot be resolved without addressing unemployment and religious extremism.
