Newspaper Headlines: Wanted bandit leader Turji kills 11 farmers in Sokoto

The Punch reports that officials in the presidency said President Bola Tinubu sacked Mele Kyari and other board members of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited over performance concerns and failure to meet key production targets. The newspaper says NNPC has increased the pump price of petrol to N925 per litre at its retail stations in Lagos and N950 per litre in Abuja.
Daily Trust reports that Bello Turji, the wanted notorious bandit leader, has killed 11 farmers in Isa LGA of Sokoto state. The newspaper reports that Maharazu Tsiga, a retired brigadier-general, has regained his freedom after spending 56 days in captivity.
