Neymar Jr, the Brazilian football star, has joined the Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

The club confirmed the signing of the former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker in a video on its Twitter page on Tuesday.

Neymar exited PSG after six years at the Ligue 1 club. He had joined the French giants from Barcelona in 2017 in a world-record £200 million deal.

It is reported that the 31-year-old is not considered a key player by Luis Enrique, the new PSG manager, leading the club to consider selling the Brazilian.

Fabrizio Romano, the Italian journalist, reported that Neymar penned a two-year deal with the Saudi club until June 2025.

The Brazilian, according to Romano, will earn a total of close to $300 million in salary through his stay at the club.

Al-Hilal tried to sign Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe earlier in the transfer window.

But Messi moved to Inter Miami in the US Major League Soccer (MLS).

Mbappe, on the other hand, is set to remain at PSG despite the earlier dispute with the club’s management.
