NFF partners QIX to reward football fans

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has signed a marketing partnership with QIXVille Limited as the fan engagement partner of the federation.

The exclusive distributor of QIX for Nigeria joins NFF’s other global brands such as Coca-Cola, Adidas, Guinness and Cadbury.

The partnership is confirming and accelerating QIXVille’s international expansion in sports marketing with effective market launches in Mexico and South Africa already completed in 2019.

“With the introduction of QIX exclusive “Shake & Play” gamification technology developed by QIX, the NFF and QIX intend to foster the experience of Nigerian football fans with their favourite sport and teams, while providing them with a new opportunity to derive valuable benefits from their supporter engagement,” the statement issued by the Latvia-based marketing technology company read.

“The QIX mobile app and technology platform will allow fans to interact with sponsor brands by shaking their smartphone while attending matches in stadiums and when watching matches on TV.

“In doing so Nigerian football fans will earn QIXCoins, a digital, cross border reward currency exchangeable for various products and services across multiple merchants, as well as for a vast choice of football-related and lifestyle rewards.

“QIX will also propose Nigerians residing abroad, a multi-million expatriates’ community, to engage with their national football team through the international availability of QIX services via the QIX app.”

Speaking on the partnership, Sanusi Mohammed, the general secretary of NFF, said: “This is long overdue, and we are extraordinarily excited about the partnership with QIX.

“Football fans are in for an exciting journey and thanks to QIX and its revolutionary digital interactive solutions, for the first time they will be rewarded just by doing what they love to do – watching Football.”

Dominic Essien, president of QIXVille, commended the forward-thinking board of the NFF for selecting the QIX opportunity and promised an engaging experience for football lovers.
