NFF postpones unveiling of Keshi’s 35-man World Cup list

The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will no longer release the Super Eagles’ 35-man provisional World Cup squad list this evening, as widely anticipated.

The list was primed to be made public at the end of a meeting between Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, and the NFF technical committee in Abuja.

But when the meeting ended, a member of the NFF technical committee, Paul Bassey, told journalists that the list would remain private because further consultations still need to be made.

“We’re not in a hurry [to release the list to the public],” Bassey said. “We will do some consultations before we announce a proper list”.
