The Centre For Youth Participation Dialogue and Advocacy (CYPA), a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has launched the ‘Rants to Roundtable’ policy brief to improve youth participation in governance.
Speaking at the launch on Friday, Chris Iyama, CYPA’s executive director, said the policy brief is a product of the youth governance and policy dialogue (YGPD) —a series of solution driven discussions held between June and July 2024 — where over 40 young leaders engaged in thought-provoking conversations.
Iyama said the recommendations of the the discussions were compiled into the brief and will serve as a strategic guide for the state government to strengthen youth engagement in policymaking.
“These dialogues captured diverse insights and practical solutions on key issues such as education, youth development, technology, and youth engagement—all critical to shaping a more inclusive and responsive governance system,” Iyama said.
