The Super Eagles of Nigeria will not play at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Equatorial Guinea, following a 2-2- draw with Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The draw left Nigeria third in Group A with eight points and a slim chance of sneaking into the tournament as the best third-placed team in the qualifying series.
But DR Congo will take that lone spot after beating Sierra Leone 3-1 in their last Group D clash to end up with nine points, one better than Nigeria.
