Jumoke Oduwole, the minister of industry, trade and investment, says Nigeria needs more non-oil exports as they are crucial for the economy.
Oduwole spoke at a recent stakeholders’ reception organised by Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL), Nigeria’s pioneering gold exploration and production company.
The event, which brought prominent dignitaries, partners, and stakeholders together, followed SROL’s participation at the just concluded Nigeria mining week, a statement said on Sunday.
The minister lauded the company for its resilience and significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic diversification.

Oduwole also acknowledged the firm as the presidential enabling business environment council (PEBEC) export champion.
On the company’s commitment to social responsibility, the statement said SROL successfully concluded its second annual community medical outreach on November 8 and 9.
