Oladipo ‘signs $84m Oklahoma Thunder deal’

Kehinde Oladipo, the Nigerian American based professional basketball player, has extended his contract with Oklahoma City Thunder team.

Oladipo, who considered playing with D’Tigers at the Rio 2016 Olympics, signed a multi-year contract extension at an undisclosed fee, even as there are reports that it is a four-year package worth $84 million.

We are excited to extend our partnership with Victor,” said Sam Presti, vice-president of the club.

“The player represents the Thunder’s present and future, exhibiting the values that the Oklahoma community and our organization hold in high regard: hard work, team first, resiliency and citizenship.”

He was originally the second overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, and in June, Thunder acquired him from the Orlando Magic.

He is one of just three players, since 1985-86, to begin his career with three consecutive seasons of 1,100+ points, 110+ steals and 70+ 3-point field goals.
