Nigeria Open: Quadri paired with Egypt’s Assar for doubles event

Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri has been paired with Egypt’s Omar Assar for the doubles events of the ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open.

Aruna and Assar are the sixth seed on the list.

India’s duo of Gnanasekaran Sathiyan and Shetty Sanil are number one while France’s Antoine Hachard and Gregoire Jean are second.

The third seed are Sarthak Gandhi and Italy’s Carlo Rossi while singles defending champion, Finland’s Benedek Olah and Hungary’s Marton Szita are number four. Portugal’s Pedro Jose Francisco and Egypt’s Ahmed Saleh are the fifth seed.

In the women’s doubles seeding, Egypt’s Yousra Helmy and Dina Meshref are number one seed while their compatriots – Farah Abdel-Aziz and Amira Yousry, are number two.

Nigeria’s Olufunke Oshonaike will partner women’s singles defending champion, Portugal’s Jieni Shao. They are number three seed while defending champion, Russia’s Irina Ermakova and Olga Kulikova are number four.

Another host nation pair that made the doubles seeding list is Cecilia Akpan and Janet Effiom. They are number five.

Two Nigerians made the seeding list in the U-21 singles rating for the championship. Azeez Solanke is number two while Esther Oribamise is number three in the women’s event.
