Oluwatoyin Adesanmi and Obioma Okoli won gold and silver in the women’s weightlifting 63kg Sunday at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Adesanmi won the gold with a total of 207 on lighter body weight from countrywoman Okoli also on 207kg.
Punam Yadav of India came third and claimed a bronze with a total of 202kg.
With this feat, Nigeria now has a total of six medals and placed ninth in the overall medal’s table.
