Nigerian army arrests three Chadian Boko Haram insurgents

The Nigerian army has arrested three Chadians in connection with terrorism in the north-east.

A statement by Akinloye Badare, the army spokesperson of the 28 Task Force Brigade, Mubi, noted that the Chadians were arrested in a foiled terrorist attack between Borno and Adamawa states’ border.

He noted that the troops foiled the attacks of insurgents on Madagali town in Adamawa; and Limankara village in Borno state.

“The arrested three were Chadian Boko Haram terrorists”, he said.

Badare said that there was an exchange of gunshots for about two hours before the attacks could be prevented.

He also said in the statement that before the attempted attacks, “troops of 192 Battalion 26 Task Force killed six Boko Haram terrorists in clearance operations at Dissa and Patawe villages of Borno state”.

Limankara is a border village with Camero and 151 kilometres south of Maiduguri, the state capital.
