Nigeria referees failed to make the cut for the 2018 FIFA U20 women’s World Cup in France.
FIFA Referees Committee in a statement on Wednesday said 15 referees and 30 assistants have been shortlisted for the U20 women’s World Cup.
The list, however, has two referees and four assistants from Africa.
The African referees are Lidya Tafesse Abebe of Ethiopia and Zambian Gladys Lengwe.

Bernadetta Kwimbira (Malawi), Mary Njoroge (Kenya), Lidwine Rakotozafinoro (Madagascar) and Victoire Queency (Mauritius) are the assistant referees.
In March, Nigerian referees were also omitted from the list of 36 referees and 63 assistant referees selected for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Ghana and Nigeria are the two countries that will represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which will take place between August 5 and 24.
