Nigerians will vote for APC | They now trust us, says Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigerians now trust the All Progressives Congress (APC), and as such, the party will be victorious in the governorship and state assembly elections.

Speaking with journalists on Saturday after casting his vote in Daura, Katsina state, Buhari said he was not surprised by the results of the February 25 presidential election that produced Bola Tinubu as the president-elect.

The president said the party’s campaign was “thorough and detailed”.

NAN reports that Buhari claimed that vote buying has diminished under his administration while expressing optimism over the outcome of the election.

He urged Nigerians to vote with a conscience while choosing their leaders into both the state executives and legislatures.

“Nigerians trust us because we mean what we say and say what we mean. We have maintained that trust,” he said.

”We told Nigerians that we will work for them, and we have done our best in education and health facilities, and Nigerians appreciate our efforts.

“I am sure we are going to win again.

“I am aware that the money is not there like before for people to sway voters like they used to do.

“And if they bring out money now, the people should pocket it and still vote their conscience.”
