The United Nations (UN) has predicted that Nigeria will have a population of 399 million in 2050, which will make it the third largest country in the world in terms of population.
In a new report, the organisation said the United States would have a population of 380 million in that year and that the world’s population will reach 9.7 billion, with India becoming the largest country.
The report predicts that in 35 years time, three of the 10 most populous countries in the world will be in Africa.
