Nine players of Ifeanyi Ubah FC have been handed a 12-match ban by the Nigerian Premier League (NPL) for attacking referees during a game.
Two officials of the football club were also handed a 19-match ban for the aforementioned offence.
The sanction is coming after the officials and players attacked Nakura Auwal, a referee, after King Osanga was sent off the pitch during a game in August.
The fracas got worse when Chidi Nwogu and Adrika Obiefuna, both officials of the football club, and six other players also attacked match officials.
