The Nizamiye Hospital, Abuja, says it gives a 40 percent discount on annual check-up to encourage Nigerians to pay attention to their health.
In a statement, Ertan Ibrahim, internal medicine consultant at the hospital, said Nizamiye uses the discounted health check-up as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“The management of the hospital in a bid to encourage Nigerians to take their health seriously introduced an annual health discount programme,” he said.
“This programme runs from October to December annually, but this year we are starting in September due to the peculiarities of the times we are in. The discounted health check-up is affordable and an opportunity for Nigerians to utilize and stay in good health.”

Ibrahim said regular health check-up reduces the risk of getting sick, detects potentially life-threatening health conditions or diseases early, and increase chances for treatment and cure.
“Regular check-ups can help find potential health issues before they become a problem. When you see your doctor regularly, they can detect health conditions or diseases early. Early detection gives you the best chance of getting the right treatment quickly, avoiding any complications,” he said.
“By getting the correct health services, screenings, and treatment, you are taking important steps toward living a longer, healthier life.

“It is essential for people to know their health status this period because we don’t want to leave things to chance. This can only be done when regular health check-up is undertaken. Aside from the overall benefit, it also gives you a guide on things to do and things to avoid health-wise to stay in proper health during this period.”
