Chiamaka Nnadozie, Super Falcons goalkeeper, saved a crucial penalty as Paris FC stunned Wolfsburg 2-0 to reach the 2023/24 UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) group stage.

Paris FC defeated Wolfsburg 5-3 on aggregate after holding the two-time champions 3-3 in the first leg of the tie at the Stade Charléty last week.

The Parisians dispelled their underdog tag and blew the German side out of the water at the AOK Stadion on Wednesday.

Julie Defour got her fifth UWCL goal of the season to put FC Paris ahead in the 38th minute.

When Wolfsburg were presented with an opportunity to level in the 61st minute from a penalty kick, Nnadozie dived correctly to her right and stopped Dominique Janssen’s effort.

The visitors then wrapped up the famous victory with a late goal by Louise Fleury in the 90th minute.

In the previous round of qualifiers, Nnadozie saved two penalties in FC Paris’ 4-2 shootout victory over Arsenal.
