The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reduced the price of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, across its retail outlets in Lagos.
TheCable observed on Thursday that the petrol price at an NNPC retail outlet along Idimu Road was reduced from N960 to N945 per litre.
Also, at the firm’s retail outlet located at Ago Palace Way, Okota, the price of PMS was fixed at N945 per litre.
However, the petrol price at NNPC retail outlets in Abuja remained unchanged.

The cut comes three weeks after the oil company increased petrol price from N925 to N960 per litre across its outlets in Lagos.
Prior to this, the national oil company had on December 23, 2024, reduced the retail price of petrol at its outlets to N925 per litre in Lagos and N965 per litre in Abuja.
NNPC reduced the product’s price from N1,025 per litre in Lagos and N1,040 in Abuja

The latest slash comes three days after MRS Oil lowered its petrol price from N970 to N925 in Lagos.
MRS Oil also said petrol will be sold at N935 per litre in the south west, N945 in the north, and N955 in the east.
On February 1, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its ex-depot price for petrol from N950 per litre to N890.
