No Nigerian referee will be on duty during the 9th African Women Championship (AWC) finals scheduled for Namibia.
In the list of referees released on the website of African Football Confederation (CAF) on Tuesday, 27 referees were listed to officiate in the championship.
Twelve centre referees and 15 assistant referees were named to officiate matches at the eight-nation continental championship scheduled to hold in October from 11 to 25. The venues for the matches are Independence Stadium and Sam Nujoma Stadium, both in Windhoek, with a capacity of 25,000 and 10,300, respectively.
The 27 referees were picked from 19 African countries – Zambia, Mali, Morocco, Ethiopia, Senegal, Kenya, Ghana and Tunisia all have two referees each.

Cameroon, Malawi, Cote D’Ivoire, Angola, Botswana, Uganda, Benin, Madagascar, Egypt, Burkina Faso and Togo have one referee each.
Nigeria are one of the participating countries. Others are South Africa, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana and host Namibia.
