Chris Christie, governor of New Jersey and former Republican presidential candidate, says Donald Trump is better prepared to lead the world’s most powerful nation, America.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Christie, who was came in sixth place in New Hampshire’s primary elections, said Trump would create jobs for Americans.
“There is no one who is better prepared to provide America with the strong leadership it needs than Donald Trump,” Christie said to stunned silence, pledging his support to help Trump win the election in November.
“He’ll provide strong unequivocal leadership [and] create jobs for this country. Trump is rewriting the playbook of American politics.”

He said Trump “will do exactly what needs to be done to make America a leader around the world again”.
Following the presidential debate on Thursday, Christie branded Marco Rubio, Trump’s major challenger, as desperate, adding that he was showing signs of a “losing campaign”.
According to New York Times, the endorsement came a day after Rubio, in a withering debate performance, attacked Trump, calling him a “con artist”.

Trump welcomed the endorsement with warm praise for the Christie, adding that he had been his “friend for many years”, and has also been “a spectacular governor”.
He further spoke of Rubio as using too much make-up for the debate, adding that he saw Rubio backstage with “a pile of makeup”.
“I said Marco, easy with the makeup, you don’t need that much,” Trump said.
Trump has won three of the four state primaries conducted so far, making him the clear favourite for the 2016 presidential race.
