No one should underestimate our title bid, says Lobi Stars’ Kayode

Lobi Stars should not be overlooked in the bid for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title, says goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode.

In their first game of the season, Lobi Stars held Enyimba FC to a 1-1 draw.

Kayode said the result will not determine how the Pride of Benue would perform in their quest to challenge for the league title.

“We are ready to make a push for the title despite dropping points in our first game. The players played good football,” the former Akwa United shot-stopper told TheCable.

“I am assuring our supporters that we will come back strongly.

“They do have to lose hope. They do not have to despair. We have just started. We are going to work hard to get the right result.”

The Solomon Ogbeide-led team will face Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Wednesday.
