There is an Hausa saying that: “Beautiful Fridays are always sensed on Wednesdays.” From the early days of the Buhari administration, many Nigerians didn’t sense beautiful Friday because Wednesday was very ugly. The cluelessness of the administration became apparent in 2017 but enormous Northern Nigerians chose to live in denial as they assault whoever chided the President because he is our very own.

Whilst Professor Ango Abdullahi (Magajin-Rafin Zazzau) decried President Buhari on Liberty Radio, Kaduna in 2016, many Northern Nigerians who are young enough to be his children and grandchildren insulted him badly! Apparently, the groundless defence Buhari enjoys, makes him think that he is on the right path.

When the late Balarabe Musa, former Governor of old Kaduna state, accused President Buhari of being bias in his anti-corruption war back in February 2016, young Northern Nigerians didn’t respect his age, he was brutally insulted not objectively criticized!

Similarly, Dr. Junaidu Mohammed, former member House of Representatives from Kano, chided President Buhari in 2017, but Garba Shehu, SSA to the President on Media and Publicity replied him harshly and not constructively!

When Nigerians from the South bash the administration objectively or subjectively, most of the Northern Nigerians say, these guys want violence because the President is a Northerner.

The Islamic Clerics from the North who cursed former President Jonathan in their mosques and unflinchingly supported the protests against his administration as a result of insecurity are now saying that cursing a leader is a taboo and protest is un-Islamic! Does Islam change?

We are utterly disappointed in most of them because they are bogus people who wept over insecurity during the Jonathan administration and kept mute over insecurity now because their son, President Buhari is in power!

Our hypocrisy has prompted Buhari to feel that he favours us by leading us because his body language says it all. When Nigerians are massacred by bandits, Boko Haram sect, or kidnappers, the president condemns and condoles with the families of the victims; he will not visit the mourners let alone act, knowing that his kith and kin (Northern Nigerians) will defend him subjectively.

On Saturday, November 28th over 40 rice farmers were slaughtered like rams by the heartless Boko Harams in Zabarmari village of Jere Local Government, Borno State! President Buhari did as expected, he condemned and condoled with the people of Borno State. His lieutenants also known as Northern Nigerians started calling for the sack of the Service Chiefs. Stop being hypocritical and call for the immediate resignation of the failed President!

Nigeria can only be great again when we shun hypocrisy and ethnicity. Finally, my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Zabarmari!
