Captain, Mfon Udoh, was the hero for Enyimba FC of Aba as his assist and goal secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over defending champions, Rangers.
Daniel Etor scored for Rangers — who are currently bottom of the league table — as early as the seventh minute. The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors.
The People’s Elephant returned for the second half with more vigour and were rewarded with an equaliser when substitute Stephen Chkuwude headed home a corner kick in the 55th minute.
Mfon Udoh netted the winning goal in the 88th minute after dancing past the Rangers’ defence and side-footing the ball into the net from close range.

It was a game to forget for Lagos-based MFM as they were whitewashed 4-0 by Nasarawa United while Plateau United returned to the top of the league after securing a 1-0 victory against Wikki Tourists.
El-Kanemi Warriors and Gombe United recorded 1-0 victories against Kano Pillars and Rivers United respectively while Niger Tornadoes defeated Lobi Stars 2-1.
In other matches played on Sunday, Abia Warriors beat ABS 2-0 while the game between Akwa United and Shootings Stars ended 4-2 in favour of Akwa.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah came from a goal down to beat Sunshine Stars 2-1 with last season’s highest goal scorer, Godwin Obaje, scoring from the penalty spot.
