Stephen Odey scored a brace to help his side to a 2-1 victory over Plateau United on Sunday at Agege Stadium.
Odey scored his first goal with an assist from CNN goal of the week award winner, Sikiru Olatunbosun, in additional time of the first half.
Peter Eneji equalised for Plateau United in the 62nd minute but Odey restored the lead from the penalty spot after Olatunbosun was fouled in the box .
The victory pushed MFM to second on the Nigeria Professional Football League table, one point behind Plateau United.
