The 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) got underway this weekend with 18 goals scored across 10 centres.
The big winners were Plateau United and Niger Tornadoes who were victorious away from home against Nasarawa United and Kwara United respectively.
Kano Pillars were forced to a 2-2 draw by Katsina United on Saturday. Junior Lokosa and Alassan Ibrahim were song for Masu Gida with Chinedu Ajanah and Destiny Ashadi on target for the Chanji Boys.
The game between Abia Warriors and MFM was a joy to behold as the Ochendo Babes schooled the Olukoya Boys at the Umuahia Township Stadium. Warriors won the game 2-0 courtesy of Ndifreke Udo Effiong’s brace.

Another top notch performance on Sunday afternoon produced three goals. FC Ifeanyi Ubah, 2016 Federation Cup champions, edged newly promoted Yobe Desert Stars 2-1 in Nnewi.
Saviour Francis ran the show for the Anambra Warriors from midfield with Godwin Obaje and Gabriel Shola Adegboye hitting the target. Chinedu Ohanachom scored the consolation goal for the Damaturu Stars.
At the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Heartland and Sunshine Stars played out a 0-0 draw.

Rivers United smiled home with three points against Elkanemi Warriors, thanks to Guy Kuemian.
At the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Akwa United defeated Enugu Rangers 2-0. Kelly Kester and Dennis Nya were responsible for the goals.
Wikki Tourists pipped Go Round with Nafiu Kabuga scoring the solitary strike.
Elsewhere, Lobi Stars came back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Enyimba in a keenly contested battle. Mbah Ezekiel cancelled out Chinedu Udeagha’s goal.
