The Interim Management Committee (IMC) has postponed the commencement of the Super Six playoff of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season to May 23.
In a tweet on its official Twitter page on Wednesday, the committee announced that the competition previously scheduled to start on May 19 has been shifted by 4 days.
The statement added that group A of the abridged NPFL would wrap up on May 14 while group B would round up one week later.
“Group A will be concluded on May 14,” the tweet read.

“Group B now to be concluded on May 21 after all outstanding games involving Rivers Utd are played
“NPFL Super 6 now proposed to hold between May 23 & June 3.”
Rivers United have three games pending following their sojourn into the quarter-final of the 2022/23 CAF confederation cup.

Bendel Insurance, Enyimba and Remo Stars are the leaders of group A with two games to go.
In group B, Lobi Stars, Rivers United and Doma United are the top teams.
The top three teams from each group will play in a round-robin format to determine the league champions, while the runner-up and third-place teams get CAF champions league and confederation cup slots, respectively.
Meanwhile, Nassarawa United, Dakkada FC, and El Kanemi Warriors have been relegated to the NNL.
