The 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season kicked off with two away wins.

Akwa United, the defending champions, secured an emphatic 3-0 win over Kano Pillars, while MFM were beaten 2-0 by Remo Stars.

MFM 0-2 Remo Stars

Remo Stars recorded a 2-0 away victory over MFM at the Mobolaji Bank Anthony stadium on Saturday.

Goals from Akanni Qudus and Andy Okpe were all Remo Stars needed to mark their first away win in the 2022/23 NPFL season.

Kwara United 3-0 Dakkada

Junior Lokosa’s 33rd minute goal and Steven Jude’s brace in the 3rd and 58th minutes gave Kwara United all three points against Dakkada in Ilorin.

Katsina 1-2 Rangers

Ossy Martins netted twice for the visitors in the 13th and 70th minutes respectively. Saliu Mustapha, however, scored a consolatory goal in the 35th minute for Katsina United.
