Rivers United halted the cantering brilliance of Akwa United in Port Harcourt. After Charles Atshimene put the away team ahead in the 53rd minute, the home team delivered a late salvo through Bamba Bakary in the 87th minute to peg the high-flying Kenedy Boboye-tutored side.
Enyimba 2-1 Jigawa Golden Stars

Enyimba had to dig deep to wrestle victory from the jaws of defeat at the Aba Township stadium. Jigawa Golden Stars led into halftime courtesy of a Sunny Bature’s strike. Immediately the second half began, the People’s Elephants responded through a Rueben Bala strike. Still, the winning goal didn’t arrive until the 87th minute when Omoyele Tosin finished the comeback for the Fatai Osho-led side.
Kano Pillars 2-0 Dakkada FC
Rabiu Ali and David Odenigbo goals in the 38th and 40th minute respectively were enough to reinforce Kano Pillars superiority over Dakkada FC.
Warri Wolves 1-0 Kwara United

Plateau United 4-0 Ifeanyi Ubah
Plateau United whitewashed Ifeanyi Ubah by fours goals in Jos. Goals from Oche Ochowechi, Zulkifilu Mohammed and Uche Onwuansanya created a humiliating margin between the two teams.
Heartland 2-1 Enugu Rangers

It was a quick fire first-half in Owerri as Mboama Chijioke put the home team ahead in the 11th minute. Rangers replied via Elijah Ani in the 24th minute. Chijioke Akuneto then restored Heartland’s lead 7 minutes later. Rangers couldn’t muster a response as the host ran away with the lead.
