Super Eagles forward, Victor Obinna Nsofor, sent a message of intent to other strikers vying for places in Coach Stephen Keshi’s World Cup squad by scoring both goals in Chievo’s 2-1 win against Inter Milan in a Serie A match at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium on Sunday.
Chievo were trailing Inter by a first-half goal from Marco Andreolli before the introduction of the former Inter striker in the 73rd minute.
Nsofor had been on the pitch for less than a minute when he smashed an angled drive between Inter goalkeeper, Carrizo, and the base of the near post.
The former Enyimba striker turned the game around minutes later, scoring another for Chievo with a long-range drive.

The forward has made 10 appearances for Chievo this season, and coincidentally, his brace of goals against Inter are his first goals for the club since joining on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow in January.
The result meant little to either side, but it was the final game for Javier Zanetti, Diego Milito, Esteban Cambiasso , Walter Samuel and Luca Castellazzi, who were not offered new contracts.
