Francis Nwifuru, governor of Ebonyi state, has dismissed two of his aides from their positions over alleged misconduct.
According to NAN, the affected officials are Felix Okemini, senior special assistant to the governor on security (Ebonyi north senatorial district), and Nnanna Nwangele, special assistant on airport security.
Grace Umezurike, secretary to the state government, announced the dismissals in a statement on Tuesday.
Umezurike said Nwifuru has prohibited the former aides from the government house and from participating in government activities.

“The officers should henceforth not be seen around the Government House or participate in government activities” the statement quoted the governor as saying.
Earlier in the day, the governor had suspended three commissioners for one month over “absenteeism” from the state executive council (SEC) meeting held on Monday.
