Yushau Ahmed, director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), says his administration “will ensure that corps members enjoy enhanced welfare and improved security at all times”.
In a statement, Eddy Megwa, director of press and public relations of the NYSC, said Ahmed gave the assurance while paying a sympathy visit to corps members who were involved in a fatal road accident.
Oladele Misturah Abidemi (KD/24A/3804), and Olayiwola Hannah (KD/24A/3805), were on their way to the orientation camps in Jigawa and Katsina states when the accident occurred.

Commiserating with the fresh graduates who were on admission at 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, Ahmed commended “their patriotic zeal and for accepting their deployment for national service”.
“He equally prayed for the injured corps members’ quick recovery,” the statement reads.
“Ahmed also lauded the management of the hospital for effective medical assistance being rendered to the corps members since they were admitted.”
