The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University has postponed the university’s resumption by 56 days.
The postponement was attributed to the approval of the 56-day leave requested for by university’s branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
In a letter dated April 18, Bamitale Omole, vice chancellor of the university, through Awoyemi D.O, the registrar, directed the union to proceed on an annual leave for the 2014/2015 session, which took effect from April 6 and will end on June 24.
The fresh students of the university were directed to resume at their halls of residence on May 28 and the returning students on June 27.
