Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), says he is confident that the right thing will be done in the post-election dispute before the tribunal.
Last month, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Tinubu, candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the presidential election.
Tinubu polled 8,794,726, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had 6,984,520 votes to come second, and Obi placed third with 6,101,533.
Not satisfied with the outcome of the election, Obi challenged the result in court, alleging irregularities by the electoral commission.

Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television Programme, on Thursday, Obi said the Nigerian judiciary understands the gravity of the case, adding that “they know they have to build a better place for their children”.
The LP standard bearer said he has never had a reason “to doubt the courts”.
“I believe Nigeria has the best judiciary globally, it is we politicians that are trying to, because of our transactional methods, ensure that everywhere is corrupted,” he said.

“I have confidence in the judiciary. They know the country had collapsed. They know they have to build a better place for their children.”
Obi insisted that the February 25 presidential election is the worst the nation has had since independence.
“I can assure anybody if today I’m in service, Nigeria would not spend nearly what it spent and we would have a first-class election that would be celebrated globally,” he said.
“This is the worst election in Nigeria’s history… because of the passed law (Electoral act), all those loopholes and difficulties we used to have were taken care of and then we invested in technology which was supposed to make it seamless.
