Willie Obiano, governor of Anambra, has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in six communities following a clash that claimed nine lives on Monday.
Solo Chukwulobelu, secretary to the state government, made the announcement in a statement released on Monday.
Igbariam, Aguleri, Umueri, Nteje, Awkuzu and Umunya are the communities to be affected by the 6pm to 7pm curfew that is expected to take effect immediately.
On Monday, nine people were confirmed dead after armed men attacked Ukpomachi community in Oyi LGA of the state.

The attack came in the wake of other attacks that have shaken the state.
The zone 13 police headquarters in Ukpo Town of Dunukofia LGA of the state was razed by gunmen on April 19.
On March 31, three police officers were killed when gunmen attacked Chukwuma Soludo, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) at an event in Aguata LGA.
