Octavus Petroleum cleared of complicity in contaminated fuel supply

Assures customers of unwavering commitment to aviation safety and quality

In a major validation for Octavus Petroleum, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has exonerated the company from unjust accusations involving a prominent airline, Max Air.

Prior to the exoneration by NCAA, Max Air, in an earlier communication, had admitted its mistake and issued a wholehearted apology for wrongly attributing issues involving their aircraft to Octavus Petroleum’s aviation fuel.

The concerns initially revolved around the quality of Jet A1 fuel, with questions about contamination. However, the NCAA has now clarified that the contamination issue stemmed from a different fuel supplier at Yola Airport.

It is important to note that Octavus does not operate out of Yola, thereby absolving the company of any involvement in the contaminated fuel supply imbroglio. The incident serves as a resounding testament to Octavus Petroleum’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity in the aviation fuel industry.

The NCAA, after conducting a meticulous investigation that included an audit of Octavus Petroleum’s facilities and thorough equipment inspections, concluded that the fuel contamination on Max Air’s Boeing 737 with registration mark 5N-MHM occurred at Yola Airport and was unrelated to the fuel supplied by Octavus to 5N-MHM at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja.

Oloruntoba Ola, the CEO of Octavus Petroleum, asserted, “Safety and quality are non-negotiable in the aviation industry. We take immense pride in our role in ensuring the safety of every flight.” He further emphasized that Octavus remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering premium aviation fuel while adhering to industry’s best practices.

The CEO added that the company continues to invest in its value chain process, constantly working to introduce innovative and sustainable solutions to the aviation sector while minimizing its environmental impact. According to him, Octavus stands as a market leader in the aviation fuel supply sector, distinguished by its unwavering dedication to quality and integrity in fuel supply and distribution whilst serving a wide array of Nigerian and international carriers. Octavus guarantees the swift and seamless delivery of quality aviation fuels, he said.

In the dynamic world of aviation fuel supply, Octavus Petroleum has emerged as a formidable force, setting a new standard for excellence. The company’s unyielding dedication to upholding the highest safety standards in the industry remains supreme.
