Usman Ododo, governor of Kogi, has asked the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) to support his administration’s efforts in security and agriculture.
In a statement on Monday, Ismail lsah, the governor’s spokesperson, said Ododo made the call during a meeting with Mathew Adepoju, director general of NASRDA.
The governor also asked the agency to support land reforms and development in critical sectors using its space technology and innovative capabilities.
“The Kogi state governor who was in the company of some senior officials of the government assured all that the state government is committed to ensuring partnership with NASRDA to improve the state’s Geographic Information System to facilitate land reforms, promote agriculture and food sufficiency, security of lives and property and other critical sectors of the state’s economy,” the statement reads.
