Ofili-Ajumogobia’s daughter found dead in Lagos residence

Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, a judge of the federal high court, has been found dead at their residence at Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Aribemchukwu was found lifeless outside the gate of their residence on Wednesday morning.

TheCable understands that the three domestic staff—two maids and a driver—in the residence have been identified as the main suspects.

The domestic staff were said to be employed less than a month ago.

Benjamin Hundeyin, police spokesperson in Lagos, said the three domestic staff have been arrested.

Hundeyin told TheCable that an investigation has commenced over the murder of the deceased.

“The three domestic staff have been arrested and handed over to the state criminal investigation department for investigation,” the police spokesperson said.

“Chukwu, daughter of Justice Offili-Ajumogobia, was found lifeless this morning at about 6:45 am at the entrance of her parents’ house on Bembe Street in Parkview Estate, Lagos.”

The deceased was a medical doctor. Her father is the younger brother of Odein Ajumogobia, a former minister of state for petroleum resources and later minister of foreign affairs.
