Leaders and members of various factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun state on Monday came together to settle their differences, ahead of next year’s governorship elections.
At a meeting held at the Sagamu residence of former governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the factions reechoed a commitment to sheathe their swords and forge ahead for the progress of the party.
The leaders included former minister for commerce, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye, Senator Ayodeji Otegbola, Senator Lekan Mustapha and Apostle Dave Salako.
Addressing the press after the meeting, Daniel said that the meeting was aimed at re-positioning the party to take charge of the mission to save the state from the current maladministration and as well ensure the reelection of President Goodluck Jonathan.
