Ogun state has been awarded the hosting rights for the 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF) by the ministry of youth and sports development.

Sunday Dare, minister of youth and sports development, announced the new host on Saturday in Asaba during the closing ceremony of the 21st NSF.

The minister said five states put in the bid to host the 2024 edition of the sporting festival.

He added that the competition’s hosting right would have a backup candidate in Oyo state.
